To most, Apple’s lack of artificial intelligence (AI) in its products has been a glaring oversight. Many have argued that Apple is far behind on employing AI. None of this comes as a surprise. After all, Siri — Apple’s voice assistant — has limited utility. It’s almost hard to believe that it was launched in 2011. It’s even harder to believe how little progress has been made since then. While Siri can answer simple questions that can be queried easily on the internet, the typical response is to send back a list of web search results to choose from. Unimpressive.
